Teklu Hogan was born for the Crow/Frog clan of the Tahltan Nation, and was raised in Anchorage, Alaska. Their expressive arts represent composed reflections of their personal journeys in life and are directly inspired by the past, present, and future traditions of their Tahltan and Deg Xit'an Heritages, in confluence with their own creative vision. They graduated from the Institute of American Indian Arts in 2021, with a BFA in Creative Writing and the Performing Arts, but work through various mediums including the written word, puppetry, costume design, performance poetry and rap music, traditional and modern dance, sculpture, photography, and drawing.
